GREEN STAR FAMILIES OF AMERICA
Why It Matters? Because:
Every Veteran’s service matters.
And every family’s loss matters.
Yet families who lose a Veteran to suicide often carry their grief without recognition, without a symbol, and without a place in the national conversation.
Behind every loss is:
-
A spouse
-
A parent
-
A child
-
A family navigating grief in silence
Recognition does not erase loss.
But it acknowledges it—and that matters

Cherokee Veterans Community believes that no single group — military or civilian — holds all the resources needed to support every veteran. That is why we continually add meaningful and practical resources to our website.
We recognize that veteran suicide is service‑connected, and we believe the families left behind deserve acknowledgment, compassion, and support wherever it is available.
Providing these resources is one way we honor their sacrifice and offer the support they deserve.
The following is the website for the Green Star Families of America
