This page will give you a quick view of some Veteran Support Groups and Upcoming Events you might want to join us in. These can be service projects for a veteran, local missions CVC joins in with other organizations, or opportunities to get involved in the inner workings of CVC.

IMPORTANT:  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A VETERAN to volunteer with CVC.  The only thing you need is a heart to serve our Veterans, Active Duty Military, and their family.

We will continue to create opportunities for our volunteers to serve our Veterans. We will update this page on a regular basis so please return here often to see where you can join us.

We invite you to visit our Monthly Newsletter -                                                                 that will keep you updated on events and programs.

Cherokee Veterans Community's Support Groups are for our Veterans, Active Duty Military, Spouses, Moms, and Dads of Military Members and their Families. We are also open to anyone that has the heart to serve our military community.

We are about forming Military / Veteran / Family communities throughout Cherokee that reach out to, and into, each other’s lives to help deal with the pressures and struggles of everyday living and that come along with being part of the military community.

  • Open to Veterans, active-duty military members, and non-military male family members

  • This group uses Christian faith-based topic-driven questions for discussions that help to deepen our relationship with Christ and with each other.

  • Topics are light in nature while others can go deeper and can touch the areas in our lives where pain lives.

  • Our support group meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of every month at 6:30 p.m.

The meetings also provide a platform for planning future outreach missions and projects to help and serve our veterans and events that can promote and expand the ministry.

  • Meets on the 1st, and 3rd, Thursday of the month starting at 6:30 p.m.

  • The group establishes a supportive community that provides outreach to female Veterans, spouses of active-duty military and Veterans, moms of active-duty soldiers and Veterans, active-duty females, and Gold Star moms.

  • Together they share the daily stresses, concerns, and fears of being connected to the military while offering support, understanding, compassion, and fellowship.

  • Any female with a heart to serve the military and their families is welcomed to attend.

  • This group uses Christian faith-based topic-driven questions for discussions that help to deepen our relationship with Christ and with each other.

  • Our female group – “Help on the Homefront” is the way support is meant to be.

  • Provides outreach to a homebound or disabled veteran.

  • Offers some social interaction they might be missing

  • Give us the opportunity to provide assistance to them if their living conditions or nutritional needs aren’t being totally met.

  • Shares with them the love that Christ desires to share with them.
