Above & Beyond the Call Honoring

Our first honoree of “Above & Beyond the Call” is someone who never says “No” and is always ready to move forward for Cherokee Veterans Community ministry, and for the community at large. When thinking of this person, words like honorable, dependable, faithful, dedicated, and many more immediately come to mind.

This person has been part of the Cherokee Veterans Community for many years. They are consistently present—at meetings, programs, events, and community gatherings—always promoting the ministry and always advocating for our veteran and military community. This person leads by stepping forward, and lead by example.

Darleen is not a veteran, but you would never know it by her actions, her commitment, and her unwavering honor toward those who have served. Honor, Courage, and Commitment live in her heart and soul. Ask anyone who has ever met her will agree she is one of the finest people they have ever met.
